My Haunted Travels with Lingering Souls Paranormal, Part III

Possession

photo by Mark Tovar of the USS Lucid

Possessed: When an entity, spirit, demon, unknown forces, or others… temporarily or permanently force their way into your body, against your will, paralyzing the soul and then shoving your soul to the far reaches of your body! That’s possession in a nut shell.

It’s a violent attack upon you whether you knew it or not. It’s also known as high jacking, jumping, or attachment! It’s more common than you think. And, the first signs of possession are the eyes, followed by insubordination, defiance, and denial. And maybe some unexplainable crazy ass behavioral shit from you in-between.

During my last few investigations I watched several members of Lingering Souls Paranormal become possessed. Its two main members are the subject of my story this month.

And, of course, a food splurge of burgers, steaks, and some Asian cuisine I happened upon during my travels and at home!

Friday Night Prime Rib at California Grill of the Pajaro Valley.

It should be no surprise to anyone by now that I enjoy a good prime rib steak! And I am fortunate to have a place to go locally in my hometown of Watsonville, California.

Every Friday night, California Grill of the Pajaro Valley puts on an amazing prime rib dinner special! This was the Rancher’s cut! This behemoth was way over a pound of beef.

It’s a heart stopping, artery clogging, fat, and juicy side of beef. You can’t find a cut this big anywhere else in Santa Cruz County. Tender, tasty, melt in your mouth prime rib!  Pile it high with some horseradish, dunk it deep in Au Jus, then toss it into your mouth and wait for your taste buds to go crazy in a slutty orgy bath of goodness!

Woodennickel Bar & Grill, Watsonville, Ca.

While I am talking about local food, there is no place better to eat an oversized omelette in town than Woodennickel.

Sure, I have had omelettes in other establishments in town that I think are good, but no one does over-sized better than this place!

This omelette has bacon and mushrooms bulging out of it and cheese oozing around trying to keep the contents together.

Cafe Cruz, Santa Cruz County, Ca.

Also local, but North of where I live, is a place I have not talked about yet on Foodie Booze Explorer. Cafe Cruz produces some really good food for lunch and dinner.

During one of my lunch breaks I stopped by the cafe and had a burger. Mine had swiss cheese, bacon, and mushrooms. The patty was a half pounder. It was filling and my medium beef patty was perfectly cooked.

This place gets busy, so I highly recommend that you make reservations. And get there early because parking is limited.

Jack's Cigar Store, Watsonville, Ca.

Another place that I have not talked about yet is Jack’s Cigar Store in Watsonville, Ca. Jack’s Cigars opened in 1914 and has been a staple in Watsonville.

During my high school days I would come here to eat lunch! Yep, they serve lunch! My high school days were in an era that you could buy a pack of smokes with a permission letter from your parents. Of course, that theory was designed with the kid being honest and actually delivering the smokes to their parents! I think you can see the flaw in that?! How crazy does that sound today? Ha…

Today, the cigar shop is retail only, meaning you can’t smoke inside the store, but you can still sit down and have a sandwich.

Jack’s cigars has a simple menu: ham, pastrami, salami, turkey, tuna, and vegetarian. You get a choice of sliced wheat or French roll.  It comes with cheese, onions, tomatoes, lettuce, mayo, and mustard. That’s it. Pretty simple “no frills” sandwich! You can also buy some basic chips, limited types of domestic beer, canned sodas, juice, iced tea, and bottled water.

Jack’s Cigar Store is located at: 446 Main St. A, Watsonville, Ca. 95076. (831) 722-5182. The store is also listed on Yelp. There is no website.

Sorry, not sorry...I sure did do this again!!

Yes, I was just here in December! Yes, I came back the following month! Yes, I did it on purpose! Yes, I don’t give a shit (hahaha) what you might think of my over-excessive visits to Vegas every few months…

I was sitting on the roof top of Circa in January 2022, thinking about what food I was going to eat during this trip. And, my travel buddy, Mark T, was up for the challenge of my ridiculous food whore journey.

Golden Steer

Mark and I returned to the Golden Steer Steakhouse in old downtown Las Vegas. It’s a traditional steakhouse where each discipline of service is afforded to you by separate servers.

The dim, low light atmosphere, was upbeat, fast-paced, and friendly. You have to wear business casual clothing and you must be on-time or your table will be taken.

Our second visit was equally as good as our first visit a few months back. This time I had the prime rib steak, bone-in! A perfect medium rare steak, cooked with plenty of love! So tasty, I decided to pick up the rib bone and gnaw on it like an animal who hadn’t eaten in days! And it didn’t matter what my neighbors at the next table thought of my uncivil unrest, as they looked on in horror of my disgusting deranged method of gnawing the bone.

And I washed it all down with Jameson on the rocks…

Jessie Rae's BBQ

The meat mayhem continued the next day!

This crazy nuclear reactor looking contraption had my arteries screaming at me to stop eating!!

The restaurant named it: The Fortress! It’s a full rack of pork ribs spun into a cylinder. Then it’s filled with fries and mac & cheese. On top was a heaping amount of brisket and a hot link!

We could not finish the meal! But it made for a great midnight snack!

Tacos El Gordo

Honestly, I kind of dismissed Tacos El Gordo as a cheap Vegas gimmick! So I never gave them a fair shake…until now! And regrettably, I should have gone there many years ago!

We walked in about 1am looking for a quick bite to satisfy our late night hunger. I had two Asada street tacos. I woofed those down in short order! I went back in line to get their Asada quesadilla which hit the spot!

The food was ready quick! It tasted fantastic! As good or better than some of the street tacos I get back at home.  And that says a lot about Tacos El Gordo!! I will definitely be back!

Tacos El Gordo is a family owned restaurant in California and Nevada.

8 East Restaurant inside Circa Hotel & Casino

After a week of hard core eating, it was time to change it up with a lighter course of food.

Ramen is one of my “go to” foods when I’ve eaten too many steaks and burgers. What I like about 8 East restaurant was the simplicity of the menu. Not only to look at and read, but to decide firmly on what I wanted. In other words, the menu wasn’t cluttered with too many choices.

The ramen was named 8 East Ramen. It had a nice savory broth, thin sliced beef, assorted wild mushrooms, bok choy, nori, kimchi mirepoix, and a soft egg.

It was a nice light meal with intense flavors.

Pink Box Doughnuts

Just off the strip by the Las Vegas Convention Center sits a tiny doughnut counter named Pink Box Doughnuts inside Bagelmania shop! Pink Box has other stand alone stores, but this one shares a room with Bagels.

I couldn’t resist eating these tasty morsel of sin and goodness all in one bite. Even the morning poo doughnut was less of an ass than originally thought!

The Look of Evil

Trevor is an interesting topic to say the least. He is Lingering Souls Paranormal’s producer, camera guy, and investigator.

He is one of those fellows that fully embraces hostile body take overs. He welcomes all spirits evil, demonic, or nice into his body during each and every investigation.

It has become my running joke that when Trevor is involved, I pretty much will not have to worry about getting my ass kicked by the unknown! They love to gravitate to him.

Trevor does have certain abilities within his soul that draws spirits to him. He doesn’t have to ask the spirits to be there. They typically are already present getting ready to sodomize his entire body.  It’s really interesting to watch it unfold.

In this photo we are in Culinary at the Nevada State Prison (October 2021) where you see Trevor on the ground looking up at me. Myself and another investigator (Rick) are trying to get him to snap out of his trance. He won’t respond to our commands. It almost appears he was about to get up and fight us.

This was a classic “I’ve been highjacked and now I am possessed” look on his face. After several seconds of shouting out commands to Trevor and with a short St. Michael’s prayer by Lead Investigator and Empath, Cherie, he abruptly changed his eyes in front of us…back to normal. And with a confused look on his face, he was wondering why he was sitting on the ground, and why we were all staring at him.

He got up from the ground, but because the scene was still chaotic for us with other LSP members being possessed, Trevor walked away, still a bit loopy from his possession encounter. In fact, during the chaos, he muttered out loud that he felt he was being told to leave the area against his will and wanted to stay. We eventually got him out of Culinary.

I don’t know if Trevor was ever cleared of this possession. He might actually still have something attached to him today.

USS Lucid's Angry Spirit Encounter

photo by Mark Tovar of the USS Lucid

Lingering Souls Paranormal Lead Investigator and Empath, Cherie, seen in this photo sitting on the ground of the USS Lucid, was jumped/highjacked, temporarily possessed by an angry, nasty, vicious, and dangerous female spirit, who was once human.

You can clearly see that Cherie was not herself in the above photo. It all started with a temperature change, her hands moving rapidly, and her urge to sit on the ground. Once on the ground, the malicious spirit gained control of Cherie! Her attitude and eyes changed, as seen in this photo.

Cherie became a smart ass, was defiant, and had a creepy sadistic giggle and laugh. Trevor had to forcefully pull her up from the ground and usher her out of the space.

Part of the dangers of being an empath is you are the focal point of the spirit world. And, even with certain protections in place, strong entities can highjack or jump you, temporarily taking over you.

In most cases for Cherie, the jumping occurs when an entity wants to tell a story and when its done, it leaves her body. However, some spirits are malicious and jump into her body to cause physical and mental harm. And some have been demonic causing grave concern for her health and well being.

In the case of the USS Lucid, the angry entity stayed with Cherie all the way out to Jackson, Ca. the next day, unknowingly. It was hiding in her. It took the assistance of Brandy Tricas, the team’s clairvoyant psychic and medium to clear Cherie of the entity.

Brandy is a Clairvoyant Psychic and Medium. She is an integral part of Lingering Souls Paranormal. Her role in the investigation starts before the team arrives, sometimes she stays involved during the investigation, and she provides assistance with clearing and cleansing after the investigation, especially when possession and attachments occur.

I have used Brandy’s services personally! I trust her…period!

Brandy provides services publicly. You can find Brandy’s information at: http://7thsight.net  or you can send her an email to: dubhulven@yahoo.com. You can also reach her by phone: (503) 369-7731. Please use this phone number I provided. Do not use the number on her website. It is in the process of being changed.

Possession and attachments should always be taken seriously! I have learned through trial and error and so has Lingering Souls Paranormal. Take the time to think your investigation through before going on the hunt. Pre-plan it and take into consideration the possibility of becoming possessed. Have an action plan in place in case it happens to you or your team.

Until next time on Foodie Booze Explorer…
